History of the Frisco Community Band

The Frisco Community Band was formed in 2004 as a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization benefiting the City of Frisco and its neighboring communities. The Band provides Frisco area musicians with the opportunity to expand or continue their experience in the performing arts with the ultimate purpose of making live, symphonic and ensemble music accessible to all segments of the community.

The FCB exists with the support of the Frisco Association of the Arts and is funded through grants, donations and member dues. All area musicians with at least a High School music background are welcome. There are no auditions for the concert band. Performances are free to the public.

Performances

The Frisco Community Band performs at least four times each year, with all performances free and open to the public. Our annual appearances include Frisco's Freedom Fest and Merry Main Street celebrations. In addition, our Jazz Band and smaller wind ensembles play a host of venues, from Grand Openings to sports events.
